Is your iPhone 6s Plus charging port loose, or does it move when you plug the cable in? If the metal bracket over the Lightning port is bent, missing or was left out after an earlier repair, the port can't sit firmly in the case. A new charging port bracket (also called the Lightning connector bracket) holds it tight again.
This is the bracket that secures the Lightning charging port and headphone jack to the chassis of the iPhone 6s Plus (A1634, A1687, A1690 and A1699). It is a separate part from the charging port itself. If your port is damaged or won't charge, you need our iPhone 6s Plus Charging Port, and this bracket is refitted over it during that repair.
Part Includes:
- iPhone 6s Plus Lightning connector bracket
Please Note
Does NOT fit iPhone 6 Plus or 7 Plus. They use different parts to hold the port. Check in Settings, General, About for your model.
Please Note
This is the metal bracket only, not the charging port. For a port that won't charge, see our iPhone 6s Plus Charging Port.
Please Note
Usually new, but sometimes we only have as-new used stock. Screws are not included, so reuse the ones from your old bracket.

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email
- Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
- Always power down your device prior to working on it
- Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. There are two 3.4mm P2 pentalobe screws at the bottom edge, then Phillips screws of different lengths inside. You can draw a picture of your phone and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
- Warm the bottom edge of the screen and lift it with a suction cup at the lower left corner. Start with a spudger in the notch above the headphone jack, work up both sides, then swing the screen up from the bottom no more than 90 degrees and prop it up
- Make sure you always unplug the battery before attempting any component removal. Remove the battery connector bracket (two Phillips screws) and pry the connector straight up off the logic board
- In the iFixit guide the display assembly comes off first, then the bottom antenna cable and the Lightning cable are unplugged from the logic board. The bracket sits over the Lightning port at the bottom edge and comes out after its three Phillips screws (two 3.5mm, one 2.7mm, step 29 of the guide)
- With the bracket off you can reach the antenna cable connector on the Lightning port assembly. Make sure it is clicked in before you fit the new bracket, then refit each screw in the hole it came from
- Before closing the phone, test that it charges, the cable sits firmly in the port and you have mobile signal
- Clean off the old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol and fit new screen adhesive when you close it up
