- Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. You can draw a picture of your phone and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
- Always power down your device prior to working on it
- Make sure you always unplug the battery before attemping any component removal
- We recommend removing the screen to get access to the front camera even though the job can technically be done with the screen still plugged in. Removing the screen will remove the chance of damaging the screen connectors
- Check the front camera and proximity sensor are aligned correctly before closing up. To test the proximity sensor, make a call and put the screen to your ear, if the screen goes black then it is aligned corrently.
