Is your iPhone 6 charging port not working? If it feels loose, only charges at an angle, charges on and off, won't connect to a computer or isn't charging at all, a new charging port (also called the charger port or Lightning dock connector) is usually the repair you need.
This Lightning dock flex cable is the complete charging port assembly for the iPhone 6 (A1549, A1586 and A1589). It also carries the headphone jack, the bottom microphone and the cellular antenna, so it can fix audio problems such as no sound through wired headphones or callers not hearing you.
100% guaranteed to never show "This accessory may not be supported by iPhone" on official Apple products with our charger ports.
Part Includes:
- Lightning connector
- Headphone jack
- Bottom microphone
- Cellular antenna
- Flex cable with logic board connector
- 12 Month Warranty
Please Note
Does NOT fit iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone 6s. They look alike but use different ports. Check in Settings, General, About for your model.
Please Note
The port colour only shows inside the port and can't be seen from the outside, so this one suits any colour iPhone.
Please Note
This repair requires the removal of the screen to reach the port. Watch the video in Installation Help before you start.

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email
- Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
- Always power down your device prior to working on it
- Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. There are two 3.6mm P2 pentalobe screws beside the Lightning port, then Phillips screws of many lengths inside. The front panel cable bracket screws (1.2mm, 1.7mm and 3.1mm) must go back in their own holes or they can damage the logic board. You can draw a picture of your phone and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
- Lift the screen with a suction cup placed above the home button and free the bottom edge with an opening pick. Swing the home button end up, hinged at the top edge, and support the screen at about 90 degrees
- Make sure you always unplug the battery before attempting any component removal. On the iPhone 6 the battery stays in the phone: remove the battery connector bracket (two Phillips screws) and lift the connector straight up, without prying against the logic board
- Remove the front panel cable bracket, disconnect the four screen cables and lift the screen off. The logic board stays in the phone for this repair
- Disconnect the Lightning connector cable and the antenna cable, push the antenna clip off the loudspeaker, then remove the loudspeaker (four Phillips screws) and the vibrator (two Phillips screws)
- Remove the Lightning connector bracket (two screws), the microphone brace (one screw) and the six remaining Phillips screws. The flex is held with adhesive, so peel it up gently, ease the microphone out of its recess and guide the headphone jack out. If the bracket is bent or missing, we sell the iPhone 6 Lightning Connector Bracket
- Compare the new port with the old one and move across the headphone jack gasket, microphone bracket and antenna clip if the new part does not have them. Scrape the old adhesive off the case with a plastic tool
- The connector to the logic board can be tricky to align correctly so it fits into place. We recommend taking a pencil and tracing the original charging port so you know exactly where it gets positioned and lining the new charger port within the pencil lines
- Before closing the phone, test that it charges, connects to a computer, plays sound through headphones, has mobile signal and that the microphone works (record a voice memo). If the screen shows lines or stays blank, reseat the display cable and reconnect the battery
- The iPhone 6 has no water-resistance seal, so no screen adhesive is needed. When closing, hook the clips along the top edge of the screen in first, then press the rest of the screen down
