Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email

• Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
• Always power down your device prior to working on it
• Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. You can draw a picture of your phone and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
• Remove the two 6.7mm pentalobe screws beside the Lightning port, then heat the bottom edge to soften the adhesive
• The screen opens from the right-hand side like a book - the display cables are on the left. Insert picks no deeper than 3mm, and no deeper than 2mm along the left edge
• Always unplug the battery before you remove any other parts. Keep metal tools away from the battery, and never bend, crush or puncture it.
• The battery and display connectors share one cover held by four 1.1mm Y000 tri-point screws - disconnect the battery before the display
• The front sensor cable has its own cover with four more 1.1mm Y000 screws - lift it from the left until the right-hand clip releases, and refit the right-hand clip first
• Transfer the earpiece speaker and sensor assembly from your old screen. Remove its screws (two 1.3mm Phillips, 1.8mm shouldered and 1.1mm Y000), warm the top edge, then gently lift it with a spudger or opening card. A broken cable loses Face ID
• Test touch, display, earpiece, proximity (screen turns off during a call) and Face ID before sealing the phone, and don't peel off the protective film or any stickers until it's all working
• Clean off all the old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol and fit the new screen adhesive supplied in the box to keep dust and moisture out. Seat the top edge clips first when closing the phone
• This screen supports IC transfer - a micro-soldering specialist can move the display IC from your old screen onto this one.
• Once the repair is finished, turn True Tone on in Settings > Display & Brightness and check auto-brightness is working (iOS 18 or later)
