iGadget OCX aftermarket screen banner with the green OCX badge

Cracked your iPhone 8, SE 2020 or SE 2022 screen, or is the display black, showing lines or no longer responding to touch? This OCX aftermarket screen replacement is a bright, budget friendly way to replace your iPhone 8, SE 2020 or SE 2022 screen. The camera bracket, sensor bracket and speaker mesh come pre-installed, saving you time and making the repair easier.

Also available for the iPhone 8 / SE 2020 / SE 2022: Premium OEM LCD (top-quality LCD)

Why get yours?

  • Brighter display. A 3M ESR brightness enhancer behind the LCD makes this screen brighter than typical aftermarket screens.
  • Natural colour. A lower colour temperature avoids the cold blue tinge many aftermarket screens have.
  • No pressure marks. The touch IC is the same size as the original, so it doesn't press into the LCD and leave marks.
  • Easy to install. The camera bracket, sensor bracket and speaker mesh come fitted, so the repair is quicker.
  • Quality glass. Hard tempered glass with a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.
  • True Tone capable. On the iPhone SE 2020 and SE 2022 with iOS 18 or later, True Tone works with this screen, so the display adjusts to the light around you like the original. The iPhone 8 can't run iOS 18, so it needs a True Tone transfer machine.

Part Includes:

  • iPhone 8/SE 2020/SE 2022 OCX LCD Screen and Touch Digitiser Assembly
  • Camera bracket, sensor bracket and speaker mesh (pre-installed)
  • iPhone 8/SE 2020/SE 2022 Screen Gasket Adhesive
  • 12 Month Warranty

Please Note

Does NOT fit the iPhone 7 or 6s, or the original iPhone SE (2016). Check the model number on the back of your phone (or in Settings, General, About).

Please Note

iPhone SE 2022: swap your own LCD shield plate onto the new screen. The plate fitted to this screen is the iPhone 8 / SE 2020 type, and the screen won't click in properly without the swap.

Please Note

Aftermarket screen, not an official Apple part.

Please Note

Move the home button across from your old screen. It is paired to your phone, so only your original home button will work, and a replacement button will not give you Touch ID. The front camera and sensor cable, and the earpiece speaker, also move across from your old screen.

Specifications

iFixit iPhone 8 Screen Replacement Guide

helpful tips

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email

  • Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
  • Always power down your device prior to working on it
  • Track your screws on a screw mat or tape them to a drawing of your phone, and keep each set separate. Screws put back in the wrong hole can damage the logic board
  • Warm the bottom edge, take out the two P2 pentalobe screws and lift the screen with the suction cup. Only push picks a few millimetres in, and stay away from the right-hand edge where the display cables are. Open the screen to the right like a book, no further than about 90 degrees
  • Always unplug the battery before you remove any other parts. Keep metal tools away from the battery, and never bend, crush or puncture it.
  • iPhone SE 2022 only: move the LCD shield plate from your old screen onto the new one before you fit it, or the screen won't sit flush
  • Carefully move the home button, the front camera and sensor cable, and the earpiece speaker across from your old screen. Use a spudger to gently lift flex cables that are glued down. Watch the video above before you start
  • Test the display, touch, home button, front camera and the proximity sensor (during a call) before you close the phone, and don't peel off the protective film or any stickers until it's all working
  • Clean off the old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol, then fit the new screen adhesive from the box. This phone is water resistant from the factory, but water resistance cannot be guaranteed once the phone has been opened
  • Once the repair is finished, turn True Tone on in Settings > Display & Brightness (iPhone SE 2020 and SE 2022 with iOS 18 or later). The iPhone 8 can't run iOS 18, so it needs a True Tone transfer machine to keep True Tone
