Is your Samsung Galaxy S9 charging port not working? If it feels loose, keeps showing a "Moisture detected" warning when the port is dry, is charging on and off, is having trouble connecting to a computer, callers can't hear you or it is not charging at all, a new charging port board (also called the charging board or sub board) is usually the repair you need.
Part Includes:
- USB Type C connector
- Microphone
- Aerial socket
- Flex Cable
- 12 Month Warranty
Please Note

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email
- Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
- Always power down your device prior to working on it
- Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. You can draw a picture of your phone and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat. The fifteen midframe screws are 4mm and the five charging port board screws are 3mm, all Phillips #000.
- The glass back cover is glued on. Warm the edges with the iOpener in short bursts (the screen and the battery are both damaged by heat), lift the cover with the suction cup and slide an opening pick around the edge.
- Only push an opening pick 4 to 5mm past the edge. Any deeper and you can cut the antenna cable, the power button cable or the rear cameras.
- The fingerprint sensor is on the glass back and its cable is still connected. Lift the back from the volume button side and unclip the fingerprint cable with a spudger before you take the back off.
- The NFC and wireless charging plate has to come out to reach the charging port board. Do not tear its cable, and press its connectors back down until they click.
- Make sure you always unplug the battery before attempting any component removal
- The midframe, the motherboard bracket and the loudspeaker and antenna assembly all sit over the charging port board. Remove them in that order to reach the board.
- Three cables connect to the board: the flex cable to the main board and the blue and white aerial cables. If the new board comes without the aerial cables, move them across from the old one. Gently lift the headphone jack free with a spudger before you lift the board out.
- Reconnect both aerial (coaxial antenna) cables and make sure the small gold grounding contact beside the port sits against the frame when refitting, or the phone may lose signal after the repair.
- Opening the phone breaks the factory seal. Test the phone before you close it up, then fit new adhesive or 2mm Tesa tape, or the phone will lose its water resistance rating.
