The unique design of recent iMac models requires the cutting of the foam tape on the display to get insideThe handle is made of reinforced nylon and easily accommodates the cutting wheel while providing plenty of grip. In addition, the back of the handle features a thin prying and slicing blade to ensure you loosen all the adhesive. The cutting wheel is specifically designed to slip in the hair-thin gap between the display and the aluminum frame, then easily cut the foam holding the two pieces together.

Great opening tool with spare cutters.

This simple tool helped me to open my imac without issue, thin enough to cut the adhesive without putting excess pressure on the glass and I achieved a successful SSD install. I would recommend this to anybody that needs to open their imac with confidence.
