Product Details

Is your Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus or S10e charging port not working? If it feels loose, keeps showing a "Moisture detected" warning when the port is dry, is charging on and off, is having trouble connecting to a computer or is not charging at all, a new charging port connector is usually the repair you need. This is the bare USB-C socket, which is soldered onto the main board, so it is a job for someone with microsoldering gear.

Part Includes:

  • USB Type C connector (solder-on socket)
  • 12 Month Warranty

Please Note

Does NOT fit the Galaxy S10 5G (SM-G977), which uses a separate charging port board. Not confirmed for the S10 Lite (SM-G770). Check in Settings, About phone for your model.

Please Note

This is the bare USB-C socket only. On the S10 series the port is soldered to the main board, so there is no separate port board to swap.

Please Note

This part requires microsoldering. It must be soldered onto the phone's main board with hot air and microsoldering tools.

Specifications

  • Type: Charging Port Connector (solder-on)

  • Fitting: Soldered to the main board (microsoldering required)

repair tips

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email

  • Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
  • Always power down your device prior to working on it, and take out the SIM card tray first.
  • Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. You can draw a picture of your phone and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
  • The back glass is glued on. Warm each edge with the iOpener in short bursts, lift it with the suction cup and slice the adhesive with opening picks. Do not overheat the phone, as heat damages the screen and the battery.
  • Only push an opening pick 4 to 5mm past the edge. Any deeper and you can cut the antenna cable, the power button cable or the rear cameras.
  • The top plastic cover (with the NFC and wireless charging coil) and the lower cover (with the loudspeaker) have to come off to reach the main board. Do not tear the coil cable, and press every connector back down until it clicks.
  • Make sure you always unplug the battery before attempting any component removal
  • Unclip the display, headphone jack and aerial (coaxial antenna) cables before lifting the main board out. Slide the board toward the top of the phone to free the USB-C port from its opening, and reconnect every cable when refitting, or the phone may lose signal after the repair.
  • The USB-C socket is soldered to the main board. Cover nearby parts with Kapton tape, use plenty of flux, and keep the hot air moving so you do not lift pads or melt the plastic parts close to the port.
  • Power on and test charging and a computer connection before you seal the back.
  • Opening the phone breaks the factory seal. Clean off the old adhesive with alcohol and fit new adhesive when you close it up, or the phone will lose its water resistance rating.
