Cracked the outer screen on your Samsung Z Flip 5, or is the cover screen black, showing lines, or not responding to touch? This is an OEM OLED cover screen with new glass fitted (the front display you see with the phone closed) for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 (SM-F731B, SM-F731U).

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email
- Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
- Power the phone off and take out the SIM tray before you start.
- The cover screen is glued to the outside of the top half. Warm one edge at a time with the iOpener for about 3 minutes, keeping it below 65°C, as too much heat can damage the battery, then lift a gap with the suction cup and work a pick around, inserting only its tip, or you can cut the screen's flex or the camera parts under it.
- Before you lift the screen away, take the cable connector cover off with the tweezers, then unplug the cover screen cable with the spudger. Never pull on the screen while its cable is connected.
- The battery can't be disconnected for this repair. Keep the phone powered off, keep metal tools away from the battery and board, and never bend, crush or puncture the battery.
- Test the cover screen display and touch before you seal it in, and leave the protective film and stickers on until the new screen is working properly.
- Clean all the old adhesive off with isopropyl alcohol, then fit a strip of 2mm Tesa tape where the old adhesive was (no adhesive comes in the box). Connect the cable, press the connector cover back on with your finger, then press the screen down evenly so it sits flush.
- The Flip 5 is IPX8 rated, but Samsung says water resistance can't be guaranteed after a repair, so keep the phone away from water afterwards.
