Is the MagSafe charger on your MacBook Air 13" not charging, charging on and off, or showing no light? The MagSafe 3 port sits on its own small DC-in board, so a new MagSafe 3 charging port board is usually the repair you need.
This board fits the 13-inch MacBook Air M2 A2681, M3 A3113 and M4 A3240. USB-C port playing up instead? We stock the MacBook Air M2 A2681 USB-C board and the M3 / M4 MacBook Air 13" USB-C board.
Part Includes:
- 1x MagSafe 3 DC-in board with flex cable and connector
- 12 Month Warranty
Please Note
Does NOT fit the 15" MacBook Air (A2941, A3114, A3241) or the M1 A2337, which has no MagSafe. Check the A-number on the bottom case for your model.
Please Note
Silver board, which suits any colour MacBook Air.
Please Note
On the M3 A3113 and M4 A3240 the left display hinge cover also has to come off. Neither the logic board nor the battery comes out.

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email
- Keep the lid closed until the battery is unplugged, as opening it can switch the MacBook on. Run
sudo nvram BootPreference=%00in Terminal first (macOS Sequoia or later) so the MacBook doesn't switch on when you open it or plug it in. Undo it afterwards withsudo nvram -d BootPreference - Always power down your device prior to working on it
- The bottom case is held by four P5 screws and four clips. Slide it back off the clips. Track your screws on a magnetic work mat or tape them to a drawing of your laptop, as several screws look alike but are different lengths
- Take off the small battery connector cover (two screws) and lift the battery connector with an opening pick. On the M2, also remove the top-right connector cover (four T3 screws)
- Apple uses Torx Plus screws on the wedge (3IP, all models) and on the M3 and M4 cowling and board (3IP and 5IP). A T3 and T5 Torx will fit if you keep firm downward pressure. On the M3 and M4, take off the left display hinge cover, and fit new cowling tape when you put it back together
- The magnet in the port pulls screws sideways, so start them with angled tweezers
- Fit the board screws first, then push the wedge under the frame lip and tighten its screws
- Make sure the flex sits on top of the board screw, not trapped under it. Start the board screws loosely, plug in an unpowered MagSafe 3 cable to line the board up, then tighten them
