Is your iPhone 5s charging port not working? If it feels loose, only charges at an angle, charges on and off, won't connect to a computer or isn't charging at all, a new charging port (also called the charger port or Lightning dock connector) is usually the repair you need.
This Lightning dock flex cable is the complete charging port assembly for the iPhone 5s (A1453, A1457, A1518, A1528, A1530 and A1533). It also carries the headphone jack, the bottom microphone and the cellular antenna, so it can fix audio issues such as no sound through wired headphones or callers not hearing you.
100% guaranteed to never show "This accessory may not be supported by iPhone" on official Apple products with our charger ports.
Part Includes:
- Lightning connector
- Headphone jack
- Microphone
- Cellular antenna
- 12 Month Warranty
Please Note
Does NOT fit iPhone 5 or 5c, and not confirmed to fit iPhone SE (2016). Check in Settings, General, About for your model.
Please Note
The port colour only shows inside the port and can't be seen from the outside. Choose a light or dark one to suit the inside of your current port.
Please Note
Take care with the home button cable when opening the screen. If it tears, Touch ID stops working for good. Watch the video in Installation Help first.

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email
- Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
- Always power down your device prior to working on it
- Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. There are two 3.9mm P2 pentalobe screws beside the Lightning port, then many #000 Phillips screws of different lengths inside. A long screw in the wrong hole (for example the 1.7mm screw on the front panel cable bracket) can damage the logic board. You can draw a picture of your phone and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
- Lift the screen with a suction cup placed just above the home button and pry the rear case edges down with a plastic tool. Only open it a little at first: the home button (Touch ID) cable runs from the bottom of the screen. Remove its small bracket and unplug it before you swing the screen open, hinged at the top edge. If this cable tears, Touch ID stops working for good
- Make sure you always unplug the battery before attempting any component removal. On the iPhone 5s the battery stays in the phone: remove the battery connector bracket (two #000 screws) and lift the connector with a spudger
- On the iPhone 5s the logic board stays in. Remove the screen (three cables under a bracket), unplug the antenna cable and take out the loudspeaker to reach the port. The port is held by four Phillips screws, and its cable to the logic board is held down with a mild adhesive, so lift it gently with an opening pick
- Move the parts the new port is missing across from the old one: the microphone cover, the headphone jack clip, the Touch ID cable bracket and the small washers. iFixit recommends re-securing the Touch ID cable with a little B7000 glue
- The connector to the logic board can be tricky to align correctly so it fits into place. We recommend taking a pencil and tracing the original charging port so you know exactly where it gets positioned and lining the new charger port within the pencil lines
- Before closing the phone, test that it charges, connects to a computer, has mobile signal, plays through headphones and that the microphone works (record a voice memo). Check the home button and Touch ID too
- When closing up, hook the clips along the top edge of the screen in first, then press the bottom down. The iPhone 5s has no water-resistance seal, so no screen adhesive is needed
