Is your iPhone 7 charging port not working? If it feels loose, only charges at an angle, charges on and off, won't connect to a computer or isn't charging at all, a new charging port (also called the charger port or Lightning dock connector) is usually the repair you need.
This Lightning dock flex cable is the complete charging port assembly for the iPhone 7 (A1660, A1778, A1779 and A1780). It also carries the two bottom microphones and the cellular antenna, so it can fix audio problems such as callers not hearing you or muffled voice memos.
100% guaranteed to never show "This accessory may not be supported by iPhone" on official Apple products with our charger ports.
Part Includes:
- Lightning connector
- Dual microphones
- Cellular antenna
- Flex cable with logic board connector
- 12 Month Warranty
Please Note
Does NOT fit iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 or iPhone 6s. They look alike but use different ports. Check in Settings, General, About for your model.
Please Note
The port colour only shows inside the port and can't be seen from the outside. Choose a light or dark one to suit the inside of your current port.
Please Note
This repair requires the removal of the screen and logic board to reach the port. Watch the video in Installation Help before you start.

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email
- Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
- Always power down your device prior to working on it
- Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. There are two 3.4mm P2 pentalobe screws at the bottom edge, then many Y000, Phillips and standoff screws of different lengths inside. You can draw a picture of your phone and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
- Warm the bottom edge of the screen and lift it with a suction cup on the lower front panel, clear of the home button. Slide an opening pick in no more than 3mm deep (take extra care on the right edge, where the display cables run), don't pry along the top edge (it has clips) and don't lift the screen more than 15 degrees. Slide the screen down to free the top clips, then open it like a book from the left side
- Make sure you always unplug the battery before attempting any component removal. On the iPhone 7 the battery stays in the phone: remove the lower connector bracket (four Y000 screws) and lift the battery connector out of its socket
- On the iPhone 7 the charging port sits under the logic board. The screen, barometric vent, Taptic Engine, loudspeaker, rear camera, Wi-Fi antenna and logic board all come out to reach it. Note which antenna cable goes to which socket, and don't forget to remove the SIM tray when removing the logic board
- The port is held by a Phillips screw with a grounding spring contact, two screws on the flex and two screws under stickers on the case. The two microphones and the flex cable are held with adhesive, so warm the bottom edge and lift them gently with a plastic pick. Move the rubber Lightning gasket from the old port across to the new one. If the spring is bent or lost, we sell the iPhone 7 & 7 Plus Charging Port Ground Spring
- The connector to the logic board can be tricky to align correctly so it fits into place. We recommend taking a pencil and tracing the original charging port so you know exactly where it gets positioned and lining the new charger port within the pencil lines. The two white dots on the case should show through the two round holes in the flex
- Before closing the phone, test that it charges, connects to a computer, has mobile signal and that the microphones work (record a voice memo)
- Opening your iPhone 7 breaks its factory water-resistance seal. Clean off the old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol and fit new screen adhesive when you close it up
