Cracked screen, black display, lines or flickering on your MacBook Pro 13" A1706 or A1708? Replace the damaged LCD with this complete display assembly for the Late 2016 and 2017 13" MacBook Pro.
It is a 13.3" 2560 x 1600 Retina LCD screen, supplied as a complete lid with the display cover, bezel, FaceTime HD camera, display daughterboard, clutch hinges, display spring and display flex already fitted. The display is held in with screws at the hinges, so no heat or adhesive is needed and there is no glass or panel to separate.
Part Includes:
- 2560 x 1600 13.3" LCD Screen
- Bezel
- Display Cover
- FaceTime HD Camera
- Display daughterboard
- Clutch hinges
- Display spring
- 12 Month Warranty
Please Note
Does NOT fit the 2018-2020 A1989, A2159, A2251 or A2289, or the older A1502. Check the A-number on the bottom case for your model.
Please Note
Same part for the Touch Bar A1706 and the function-key A1708. The whole lid is replaced, so pick Space Grey or Silver to match.
Please Note
Not an official Apple part. Mounting screws are not included, so reuse your hinge screws.

Here are some helpful tips to assist you in completing a safe repair on your device. If you are unsure of something or have any questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone (0508 IGADGET) or by email
- Drain the battery below 25% before you start on this repair
- Turn off Auto Boot first so the MacBook does not power on mid-repair (iFixit guide). Enter sudo nvram AutoBoot=%00 in Terminal, and sudo nvram AutoBoot=%03 to turn it back on afterwards. Then power down
- Always track your screws to avoid putting them back in the wrong place and damaging your device. Draw a picture of your laptop and tape the screws to the right places, or use a magnetic work mat
- Remove the P5 bottom case screws, then lift the front of the bottom case with the suction cup and slide a pick under the edge to release the clips. Pull the case towards the front to free the sliding clips at the back, and do not slide the pick sideways, as display cables run close to the edge
- Peel back the tape and slide the battery board data cable out parallel to the board, then remove the T5 screw and lift the battery power connector with the spudger. Always unplug the battery before you remove any other parts. Keep metal tools away from the battery, and never bend, crush or puncture it.
- Remove the T3 hinge covers and display cable covers, then the antenna assembly (T5 and twelve tiny P2 screws, so press firmly and turn gently or the P2 heads round off). Lift the antenna cables straight up with tweezers
- Open the MacBook to 90 degrees and support the display while you remove and refit the T8 hinge screws. Reuse your old hinge screws
- Route the LCD and camera cables so they don't get pinched by the hinge, and click both antenna cables back in, or Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will be weak
- Test the screen, camera and Wi-Fi before you refit the bottom case, and leave the protective film and stickers on until the new screen is working properly.
