- Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. You can draw a picture of your laptop and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
- Always power down your device prior to working on it
- To find out which speaker is broken, go to Apple Logo>System Preferences>Sounds and adjust the balance left and right while music is playing to check which side is providing muffled or distorted sound

New ZealandIt works, but not genune part.
I bought it to replace my "crackling" original speaker. It fixed the primary problem, but the sound is neither the same loud nor clean as a genuine Apple speaker. Not looks like an original Apple part, but it works.

New ZealandBrilliant service and communication. The sound is worse than the original speaker.
I bought it to change the crackling speaker on my Macbook Pro 2014. It works okay, but the quality of the sound is noticeably worse than the original Apple speaker. It is not that clear; it is quieter, the sound is more "flat", more distortions. The cable is a bit longer, but it is not a problem for installation. To sum up, it is acceptable for the price, but not the quality of the original Apple product. Communication was excellent, speedy delivery.

They were listed as a 'brand new or A-Grade Genuine Apple replacement'. They most certainly don't sound like the original speakers (no bass, quiet) and sound more like the crappy knock off you can get from Aliexpress for 1/3rd the price. Paid a premium for an original speaker that was represented as new or good quality used. Don't beleive I got it!
